About Chris
Chris Lawrence is a serial entrepreneur who has been creating online companies since the age of 15. He set up his first online business, Kicks Closet, a shoe resale app. Which led to an angel investment, after achieving over 30,000 members organically.
A number of mixed successes followed, including anonymous picture-sharing app TaqIt, App and eBook development firm Game Changer Media, and eLearning company App Store Millionaires; all before his 19th birthday.
With a long-standing passion for digital marketing, Chris developed and fine-tuned marketing techniques on his app company. After exploding several of his applications to the Top 50 in the Apple App Store charts, Chris raised investment from a group including Steve Pankhurst, Co-Founder of FriendsReunited, and Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur Ted Nash, to found the influencer marketing agency, Floviral. Where he served as CEO and co-founder.
Several years later Chris had the opportunity to merge his millions of social media followers with digital marketing agency powerhouse Social Chain, helmed by renowned founder, Investor, and Dragons Den panelist, Steven Bartlett. Chris specialized in connecting the dots of changing internet culture, combining creativity, production, innovative technology, and knowledge of social media to produce industry-leading campaigns for brands such as Twitch, Uber, Hinge, Brita, TikTok, and Boohoo, among others.
After noticing the massive rise in podcast consumption during the Covid Pandemic (and his love for True Crime), Chris re-focused his attention to the exciting opportunity in the podcasting space.
In May 2020, Chris Co-founded podcast media company Glassbox Media, helping grow Glassbox’s exclusive podcasts to over 10 Million Monthly listeners and drive over $3 Million in brand sponsorship revenue for creators. With Glassbox’s unique focus on increasing the value of podcaster’s IP through strategic listener growth, development funding, and backend management tech, Glassbox saw success out of the gate leading to over $3 Million in venture funding.
